The hit CBS Sunday night drama "Madam Secretary" has been making incredible strides with its audience over its freshman run on the powerhouse drama broadcast network. Season 2 this fall is expected to kick off with some excellent material for the show to work with, including a guest appearance by the original "Madam Secretary," Madeleine Albright, according to Deadline.

The storyline will be especially unique in that Albright was the first female to serve in the role of Secretary of State when she was appointed to the position back in 1997 under the Clinton administration.

Since then, there have been two other women who served in that office, Condoleezza Rice in 2005 (under George W. Bush) and Hillary Clinton in 2009 (under current President Barack Obama).

Although there had long been speculation that Clinton would in some way play a guest role on the show, she has been quite busy lately doing other things, such as running a campaign for the Democratic nomination for the 2016 Presidential election.

In the episode, the world that separates fact from fiction will be breached as Albright will play herself in the show, helping Elizabeth McCord (Tea Leoni) with how to deal with a certain situation.

The issue that arises for McCord is more of a political situation where she is faced with navigating some tricky waters. The White House's politics will come into play in the episode, and Albright appears to come in and help her navigate the waves that come at her.

Albright Tweeted about her experience on the set for the upcoming season.
