James Bond will be lighting up the big screen in four month's time.

The 24th installment of the successful spy series, titled "Spectre," is set to be bigger than "Skyfall." Meanwhile, Director Sam Mendes hints retiring from Bond films. The film's theme is to be revealed soon.

UK release ahead of international premiere

Agent 007 has put Queen and country first. According to The Official James Bond 007 Website, the follow up to 2012's "Skyfall" will debut in U.K. theaters on Oct. 26. This will be the first time a Bond film will open on the same night at cinemas across the U.K. and Ireland. "Spectre" won't open in the U.S. until Nov. 6, creating a two-week hiatus for American Bond aficionados to try to avoid possible movie spoilers.

Daniel Craig will once again don the iconic black tux and tie in this latest spy thriller which will also star Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris with newcomers Monica Bellucci, fan-favorite Christoph Waltz, and Dave Bautista.

Sam Mendes says "Never, Again" in making Bond movies

Sam Mendes announced in a radio interview that "Spectre" will be his last 007 directorial stint. He cited the tedious committment and "putting everything else on hold" as main factors in bowing out of the franchise. BBC News quoted the prestigious film and theater director as saying, "I said no to the last one and then ended up doing it, and was pilloried by all my friends. But I do think this is probably it."

The 49-year-old director claims "Spectre" will be a bigger movie than its predecessor. "It's shot in more places -- we were in Mexico City and Tangiers and northern Sahara and Rome and the Alps and London. It's been an enormous undertaking," the director said.

Movie's theme song rumored to have been completed

With the release dates of "Spectre" already being set and other details of the film continue to pour, a key component of the Bond-lore is yet to be divulged: the movie's theme song.

From what director Sam Mendes told the BBC, the theme song is already completed. Although he declined to reveal its artist or title, he did assure that we're about to find out very soon. "The song's been recorded and it's fantastic and I'm very excited about it. You won't have to wait long," he concluded.

Speculations on the movie's theme song have run rampant recently. Sam Smith has been rumored to be a possible candidate but has since denied any involvement with the film. Ellie Goulding, who has posted a crptic message on Twitter, is also said to be a front-runner for the job. Whoever eventually lands the responsibility will have big shoes to fill as "Skyfall" won Adele an Oscar for Best Original Song, a Golden Globe, and a Critics' Choice Award for Best Song.
