Meek Mill blasted Drake on Twitter Tuesday night for allegedly not writing his own lyrics.

Drizzy addressed the matter via direct message on Instagram when his friend and Missouri rapper Hitman Holla reached out to show support.

Holla then posted this screenshot of their conversation on Instagram:

"I see da foolishness," Hitman Holla wrote to Drake. "You know me and Showw not buying it. You our guy. Keep killing. You motivate n*gg*s like us."

The battle rapper then quoted lyrics from Drake's "5 AM in Toronto," writing, "I show love, never get the same out of n*gg*s / I guess it's funny how money can make change out of n*gg*s, for real."

Drake responded first with praying hands emoji in a gesture of appreciation and then wrote, "I signed up for greatness. This comes with it."

Following the MTV Video Music Award nominees announcement Tuesday, Mill used Twitter to slam the Canadian rapper, writing, "Stop comparing drake to me too.... He don't write his own raps! That's why he ain't tweet my album because we found out!"

The "Monster" rapper continued, writing, "The whole game know forreal they scared to tell the truth! I can't wait tok these guys and sit back and act like they don't know!"

Drake did not defend himself that day on Twitter. He didn't have to. His fans and fellow rappers did that for him -- and even Toronto politician Norm Kelly.

Kelly tweeted the following salvo to Mill on Wednesday after the Philadelphia rapper claimed Toronto's shining star, Drake, doesn't write his own music: "You're no longer welcome in Toronto, @MeekMill."

If Kelly aimed to get a rise out of Mill, he succeeded. The rapper responded, "Aye white man @norm what gives you the audacity to tell me I can't come somewhere over me voicing my opinion! U sound like a thug lol."

"Aye American @MeekMill. Didn't say don't come. Just puzzled why you'd diss a Canadian hero a week before coming to his city," Kelly wrote.

Mill is scheduled to be in Toronto touring with girlfriend Nicki Minaj next week.
