The Nintendo Wii U-exclusive game "ZombiU" is now heading to other gaming consoles. Ubisoft revealed that a revamped version will be available soon to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC as "Zombi."

The announcement was made on Ubisoft's official website.

"Zombi takes the power of the latest generation hardware to bring you a new level of horror," the statement on the site reads. It added that the game will only be available as a digital download version for the consoles.

The title's gameplay will see players as a "series of survivors fighting to stay alive in zombie-infested London." According to Ubisoft's official blog, the game will make players put as top priority self-preservation, as it's not a game about vanquishing the zombies. It will see players find ways to avoid, distract and flee the hordes of undead.

Of course, the game is not without a challenge as players who die in their attempt to flee zombies will be regenerated into a new character but will also need to fight the previous one that turned into a flesh-eating zombie.

Given that the current-gen consoles have a different design than the Wii U, there will be a few changes and updates to the game than the simple dropping of the "U" in the title.

Wii U is a unique console with dual screens and the upper one served as the viewing point for radar, gears and mini-map. Since the PS4, Xbox One and PC do not have this, all of those things that were usually displayed in the second screen have been moved to the main one, reported Engadget.

"We maintain a minimal HUD as much as possible," Zombi producer Helene Henry said in the statement posted on the Ubisoft blog. "It disappears when not required, giving the game a very lonely feeling. If you have surround sound, the awesome sound mix from the original still stands and greatly helps immersion."

She added that the developers have tried their best to keep that element when it converted the game to the current-gen consoles.

However, the single-system multiplayer mode of the Wii U version will not be included in the new "Zombi" title as the company poured all their efforts in making the solo mode excellent for other platforms.

"Zombi" will be available to the PS4, Xbox One and PC on August 18.
