The characters for each cast member of "American Horror Story's" fifth season have been revealed, along with details about the plot, according to Variety.

Apparently, the inspiration for the "Hotel" season was a video that was taken of a girl, Elisa Lam, who got into an elevator and was never seen again. This occurred in Los Angeles, and the season will also take place in Los Angeles.

Fans have been chomping at the bit to see what role pop singer Lady Gaga will be playing on the series this season. According to creator Ryan Murphy, she will be a "wealthy social doyenne."

She seems to play the role in a self-centric kind of way. Murphy added that her character, named Elizabeth, is "consumed with art and fashion and people, and she has a nefarious plan that is revealed in the first episode." He also noted that her character will be a bi-sexual woman who has a relationship with Matt Bomer, Angela Basset and Cheyenne Jackson's characters.

Actress Sarah Paulson will play the role of Sally, who lives at the hotel and has a long-standing hatred for Iris (played by Kathy Bates), the woman who runs the hotel.

Basset will play a sexy woman who is at odds with Donovan (Bomer) and carries on with Elizabeth.

Finn Witrock plays a male model named Tristan.

Wes Bentley will play the detective who investigates the murders and Chloe Sevigny will play his wife, a mother and a doctor.

Jackson plays a fashion icon and Denis O'Hare plays a loose variation of a person that wants to be the characters Liz Taylor played. His character is LGBT, which will be a recurring theme in the season.
