"All Eyes on You" rapper Nicki Minaj has partnered with Glu Mobile, a mobile app development company, to launch her own video game for smartphones, the New York Post reports.

Neither Glu nor Minaj has announced the release date for her video game app, but NY Post reports that the app will be available to consumers by mid-2016.

Glu is responsible for creating the successful "Kim Kardashian: Hollywood" video game app, which reportedly has garnered millions of dollars in royalties. Minaj's latest video gaming partnership with Glu is expected to be just as successful as Kardashian's game due to Minaj's A-list status and large fanbase.

According to Hip Hop Wired, Minaj's large social media presence, consisting of 42.3 million fans on Facebook, 20 million on Twitter, 30.4 million Instagram and 9.1 million on Vevo, will help Glu Mobile garner a whopping total of nearly 650 million social followers.

Niccolo de Masi, Glu chairman and CEO, recently released a statement expressing his excitement over partnering with Minaj. Masi revealed that the Nicki Minaj video game app will feature Minaj's likeness and will incorporate Minaj's creative direction.

"I am thrilled to welcome the undisputed queen of hip-hop, Nicki Minaj, to Glu's growing list of celebrity partners," Masi said in a Business Wire statement obtained by Hip Hop Wired.

He continued, "Nicki brings to Glu her audience of over 100 million social followers and a new music category. We look forward to combining Nicki's distinctive style and massive global appeal with Glu's celebrity social gaming expertise."

In addition to "Kim Kardashian: Hollywood" and Minaj's upcoming video game app, other celebrities and musicians such as Tyga and Meek Mill are hopping on the bandwagon with their own gaming apps.

The Verge adds that English actor Jason Statham will also be partnering with Glu to launch his own game called "Sniper X: Kill Confirmed."
