Kanye West has not released a new single in five months. His last track, "All Day," arrived in February.

Fans and critics alike are eager to hear a sampling of the Chicago emcee's highly-anticipated new album "SWISH." Fans were so desperate to hear new music from Yeezus that on Wednesday they posted a Whitehouse.gov petition demanding that President Barak Obama use his executive powers to force the rapper to release the album.

"Kanye West has kept us thirsty for too long," the petition reads. "We haven't gotten any new singles in months. The President should order Ye to drop the album on the date August 21st, as his producer Mike Dean has been teasing people about."

The petition has been removed from the website for violating the Terms of Participation.

Rumors and hoaxes about the album's release and tracks have teased fans since last year. The White House petition is a clear indication that fans are losing patience.

Last month, a Reddit user known as "dxnxixlrxsxnxbxrx" posted that he had recorded Ye's entire new album from outside of a building where a private listening session was taking place. The recording, while terrible in quality, could be the real deal, reported Complex at the time. Fans were not so sure.

It was previously reported that the Reddit user made a download link and a list of the 13 tracks, but later deleted both. Among those tracks was a collaboration with Paul McCartney titled "Piss on Your Grave," a song featuring Big Sean called "Can You Be Real," and "Always" featuring Bruno Mars.

West has remained silent and secretive about details of the album, leaving fans to cope with "SWISH's" contradictory and incessant rollout.

West's collaborator, Mike Dean, summed up the situation during an interview with Montreality on Monday.

"Whenever Kanye says it's done, it's done," Dean said, who is currently finishing "SWISH" with West.

Fans may not recognize Dean by his name or his face, but they have heard him on every West album since "Graduation." Southern rap fanatics have also heard his work on albums by Z-Ro, Scarface and UGK, among others.

Rumors are circulating that the album could drop on Apple Music, however, West reportedly is still negotiating terms of the deal.
