Will Turner is coming back. Orland Bloom will reprise his role in the fifth installment of the "Pirates of the Carribean," according to a report from Mail Online.

Bloom played Will Turner in the first three movies of the franchise with Johnny Depp as Capt. Jack Sparrow and Kiera Knightley as Elizabeth Swann. He and Knightley did not appear in the fourth film, "On Stranger Tides," citing wanting to try new roles.

"I had a great time making those movies. I just really wanted to do different things, but I think it's going to be great. Whatever Johnny does, I think it's fantastic," Bloom said in an interview with MTV in 2010.

With regard to reprising his role, Bloom told IGN last year, "There have certainly been some discussions about it and I'm open to it. That whole experience working with Johnny and Gore was really amazing for me."

Mail Online further reports that Disney have confirmed the speculations. It was during the Disney D23 expo that the return of the 38-year-old, English actor was announced. Towards the end of the third film, "At World's End," Will Turner became Davy Jones and captained the Flying Dutchman. He also had a son, who may play a part in the story for "Dead Men Tell No Tales."

"I'm of course Davy Jones now, so I'm down the bottom of the ocean. It might be kind of fun to do something where I'm rumbling round the bottom of the ocean, because I won't look anything like me. Get all gnarly," Bloom said via the news outlet.

"Dead Men Tell No Tales"  will, of course, be about Jack Sparrow. The movie will center on Capt. Sparrow's adventure to obtain the Trident of Poseidon, a legendary and powerful weapon that can give control over the seas to whoever yields it.

After the announcement Will Turner's return in the expo, Depp came out dressed as Jack Sparrow. He was in full character and honored as a Disney Legend according to a report by HollywoodLife.

Geoffrey Rush and Stephen Graham will reprise their roles as Barbossa and Scrum, respectively. Javier Bardem will play the antagonist role of Captain Salazar, who is an old nemesis of Sparrow that leads a fleet of deadly ghost pirates.

Other cast members for the fifth film include Kaya Scodelario of "The Maze Runner" and Brenton Thwaites of "The Giver." "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" is scheduled to be released on July 7, 2017.
