"Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" star Johnny Depp is selling his multi-million dollar property in France.

The actor, who played the iconic Captain Jack Sparrow in the pirate-themed movie series, has listed his South of France compound for nearly $26 million, The Wall Street Journal reported.

Built in the 1800s, Depp rebuilt and designed the 37-acre estate he bought nearly 14 years ago. In building and restoring the property alone, Depp already shelled out $10 million.

The French estate that served as the actor's retreat from his busy Hollywood life is comprised of more than 12 buildings. It comes with some of Depp's personal effects like books, discs, art works, and some furniture, as mentioned on its listing, which is currently being handled by Côte d'Azur Sotheby's International Realty.

However, even without the furnishing and other items owned by the famous celebrity, the villa speaks well for itself.

According to the listing, the property is located in the Plan de la Tour village in Southern France, and is situated north of Saint Tropez. The expansive estate includes a village square, a guest house, a whole restaurant that serves as Depp's dining room, a laundry building, cottages as guest houses, a gym, and a garage.

The next owners and even their guests can plan a fun-filled party in the villa's two swimming pools and  skate park.

The 4,300-square-foot main residence also includes five bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, an art studio, and a wine cave with a "Pirates of the Caribbean" vibe.

The property was said to be the home of Depp and former partner, French singer-actress Vanessa Paradis.

The actor had a deep connection with the place, as noted by People, based on his interview with the VSD French magazine in 2010.

Depp said that living in Southern France "has given me everything. A marvelous family and also an equilibrium which I missed enormously... With Vanessa and the kids, we live in a sort of little village in the south and I have the impression of being in paradise. It's a property of about 30 acres and you know what I do there? Absolutely nothing."

He also treasured precious moments with his children, Lily-Rose and Jack, in the Southern France estate.

Depp married actress Amber Heard in February and decided to leave the piece of paradise.

"Johnny has decided to sell the Plan de la Tour - property to close this chapter of his life and move on. He hopes that someone else will enjoy the property as much as he did and bring him or her the same happiness it brought him," Alexander Kraft, chairman and CEO of Sotheby's International Realty France, told the Journal.
