Three weeks ago, Motorola introduced their next-gen smartphones in New York, London and São Paolo.

Now, a report from Cyber Shack says that it won't be long until the Moto G, Moto X Style and Moto X Play will be locally launched in Australia. According to the news outlet, Motorola recently announced their partnership with Vodafone for the upcoming launch of their latest offerings Down Under.

Motorola's account director, John Demezieres, said the partnership was a result of the companies' value to achieve a "pure Android" experience.

This will be a joy to fans as Motorola devices purchased through Vodafone would not feature bloatware or unnecessarily added applications.

The Moto G will be on sale for AUD$369 while the Moto X Style and Moto X Play will be on Vodafone postpaid plans starting at AUD$45 a month, Gizmodo reports.

Motorola's third-generation budget smartphone offers the following specs:

  • 5-inch 1280 x 720 display
  • 2470 mAh battery
  • IPX7 waterproofing
  • 13-megapixel main camera with dual tone flash and autofocus, and the 5-megapixel selfie shooter

The Moto G runs on a quad-core Snapdragon 410 1.4GHz chipset. The device also comes in two variants with the option of 1GB or 2GB RAM. Additional AUD$40 gives you 2GB with 16GB internal storage. Both options, for the first time, include a microSD storage. However, it will only be up to 32GB.

Meanwhile, Moto X Play buyers won't be disappointed by these specs:

  • 5.5-inch full HD display
  • 3630 mAh battery
  • Snapdragon 808 processor
  • 21-megapixel main camera
  • microSD expansion

The Moto X Play costs AUD$45 per month on Vodafone's Red Plan, which includes free calls and texts valued at AUD$400. The two-year plan will have 500MB of data.

Lastly, the Moto X Style will boast these features:

  • 5.7-inch Quad HD screen (515 ppi)
  • Aluminum framing
  • Fast-charging technology that is rivaled only by Samsung
  • 21-megapixel sensor with faster shutter speeds than before
  • 5-megapixel front-facing camera with a wide-angle lens, night mode and flash
  • Snapdragon 808 processor
  • 3GB of RAM

Vodafone's Red Plan for Motorola's latest top-of-the-line handset, Moto X Style, will cost an additional AUD$3, totaling to AUD$83 per month for a two-year plan.

The plan also includes unlimited standard domestic calls and texts, up to 300 minutes of international calls, and 4GB of data.

Both the Moto X variants will feature the Moto Assist, Moto Display and Moto Voice features. However, according to Cyber Shack, Moto Maker, Motorola's smartphone customization service, will not yet be available in Australia this year.
