Ciara insists she is a bit puzzled by what she sees as the double standard now allowing ex-fiancé Future and others to criticize her for allowing new boyfriend Russell Wilson to spend so much time with her 15-month-old son.

During a Wednesday morning appearance on the "CBS This Morning" show, the sultry singer addressed her ex's recent criticisms of her on that very matter.

"It's been very interesting to hear what a lot of guys have had to say," she told host Gayle King. "And I feel like in a sense it's a bit of a double standard because at one point in time when we were together, I took care of his kids."

Still, the rapper recently slammed his ex for behaving in a way he insists no one else would ever do.

"You never do that in our community," People magazine reported Future recently told the "The Breakfast Club" of having Wilson around their child. "You don't even bring a man around your son. You only know this dude for a few months and you're bringing him around your kid? Who does that? Nobody does that."

In the end, Ciara, 29, insisted she simply doesn't understand why everyone feels the need to be so judgmental.

"Wouldn't you want someone to love on the child, and more than anything, it is a child we're talking about," she added.

The "Jackie" claims she has reached out to her son's father to try to get him and the Seattle Seahawks star quarterback to discuss the situation, but "he didn't want to talk to me."

Future did recently take to Twitter to express himself, seemingly warning his ex, "Never make a permanent decision over a temporary circumstance."

In her chat with King, also Ciara insisted that she and Wilson remain celibate in their relationship.
