A sequel to 2013's Google Nexus 5 is coming. This time LG will make the Nexus 5, and according to new rumors from Android Authority, the phone will be released Sept. 29.

According to Tech Radar, the Nexus 5 was popular for its respectable 4.95-inch screen size, but as customers started to switch their preferences to bigger screens, the Nexus 6 was released with a big 6-inch screen. The next Nexus 5 shifts back to the 5.2-inch size. The screen will be a P-OLED display instead of a Quad HD display to save on batteries.

The processor used in the Nexus 5 is likely going to be the Snapdragon 808 by Qualcomm. This is the same hexa-core processor used in the LG G4. It was hoped that the Nexus 5 would use the brand new Snapdragon 820 processor, but that will likely be used for the upcoming Nexus 6.

Lately, the best phones coming out this year are coming with 4 GB of RAM. The Nexus 5 will likely follow that trend and also include 4 GB of RAM. The 2013 version of the Nexus 5 had 2 GB of RAM.

Having LG make the Nexus 5 means a much better camera than previous Nexus devices. LG created the awesome camera in the LG G4, and the Nexus 5 will benefit from that. Rumors point to a 13 megapixel (MP) rear-facing camera with a wide f/1.8 aperture lens. The wide f/1.8 aperture lens on the LG G4 was the widest aperture lens for a smartphone yet, and now the Nexus 5 will get the same lens.

The 2013 version of the Nexus 5 struggled with its battery life. The new Nexus 5 should be getting a bigger battery, which will actually run longer than the LG G4. The battery will use less resources in order to conserve power.

Android Marshmallow is coming soon, and the Nexus 5 will be one of the first phones to get it. It is likely that the Nexus 5 and Android Marshmallow will be announced in the middle of September, and the Nexus 5 will go on sale Sept. 29.
