Samsung continues to release smartphones with big screens, realizing that is what customers prefer. The success of the unique Galaxy S6 Edge and the Galaxy Note 4 led to the Galaxy S6 Edge+ and the Galaxy Note 5. Both the Galaxy S6 Edge+ and the Galaxy Note 5 have excellent features, according to Phone Arena.

The Galaxy S6 Edge+ continues the success from the Galaxy S6 Edge with its unique curved edges. With the S6 Edge+, a bigger screen is offered for users that prefer phablet-style smartphones. The S6 Edge+ stands out when placed next to a Galaxy Note 5 because of its dual-curved display.

The Galaxy Note 5 is more comfortable to hold than the Galaxy S6 Edge+, thanks to its proper ergonomics. The Galaxy S6 Edge+ just doesn't feel natural to hold, and that is probably due to the curved edges.

The curved screen on the Galaxy S6 Edge+ creates a better display than the Galaxy Note 5. When put head-to-head, the Galaxy S6 Edge+ has the brighter display. The two phones mostly have identical screens, besides the brightness, as they are both 5.7-inch displays with resolutions of 1,440 x 2,560 pixels.

Interacting with the latest version of Android, Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, the Galaxy Note 5 responds the best, thanks to its usage of the S Pen. More features like scribbling notes and doodling pictures are available with the S Pen.

Samsung equipped both smartphones with excellent processors and 4 GB of RAM. Aside from small differences in benchmark tests, they perform at almost the same speed.

The camera in the Galaxy Note 5 gets a slight advantage over the Galaxy S6 Edge+, even though the two cameras are identical. Pictures taken by the Galaxy Note 5 have slighty more details than pictures taken by the Galaxy S6 Edge+.

After comparing the two devices, there is no clear winner. The Galaxy Note 5 has the S Pen, which gives users more control over the operating system. The Galaxy S6 Edge+ has a unique display, but it gives the device a less natural feel when holding.

For pricing, the Galaxy S6 Edge+ is usually about $80 more expensive than the Galaxy Note 5. An unlocked Galaxy Note 5 costs $699, according to CNet.
