Aside from the two new Lumias, Microsoft is expected to launch its next generation sports band later this year. Apart from the two new iPhones, Apple will be unveiling the Apple TV (2015) at a press event this month.  Following the trend of releasing supplementary devices, Motorola is said to unveil its second-generation Moto 360 at IFA 2015 later this week.

Motorola has just launched the next-gen Moto G and Moto Xs in July; yet, the Illinois-based mobile company hasn't showed any signs of shutting down their product releasing for this year. On the contrary, US-based fans still await for the Motorola DROID Maxx 2 and Turbo 2's release via Verizon Wireless while the upcoming Moto 360 has been a constant fixture on the rumor mill recently.

The upcoming wristwatch first sparked rumors when some lucky Chicago natives were spotted sporting a newer Moto 360 model. Access the images here and here. Pundits were then quick to speculate that the seemingly harmless photos could be leaked images of the unannounced second generation Moto 360.

Ever since then, pictures of the rumored wristwatch have been popping up online on a weekly basis.

Android Central revealed last Aug. 27 that the next generation Moto 360 will likely come in two different sizes as implied by two fresh leaks of the gadget at that time. The first image was of the smaller Moto 360 while the second image showed both variants beside each other on a person's wrist.

Now, an updated report from Android Central on the smartwatch from the same website stated that the Moto 360 variants will be sporting different colors and bands, aside from having different sizes.

A recent render showed the bigger smartwatch having a black main piece with black metal links. On the other hand, the smaller smart watch had a silver clock mounted on brown leather straps.

Design-wise, the two new Moto 360s sport throwback lug mounts while their side button is fixed diagonally as opposed to the first generation's side button, which was placed directly to the right. Other key features of the two new Moto 360s are expected to be showcased at IFA 2015 in Berlin, Germany.

Needless to say, the next generation Moto 360s won't have the smart watch spotlight all to themselves. The Asus ZenWatch 2, Huawei Watch and Samsung's Gear S2 are also rumored to be exhibited during the event.

In other Motorola news, the Moto X Play and Moto X Style will be rebranded as the Motorola DROID Maxx 2 and Motorola DROID Turbo 2 for US-based Verizon Wireless subscribers.

DROID Maxx 2 will be released in plans starting at $300 while the higher-end DROID Turbo will come with an "unbreakable display," in part due to the POLED it will be embellished with. The latter will be on Verizon plans beginning at $600, Phandroid reported.
