Elderly woman gets caught taking a hilarious accidental selfie during an ice hockey match of this year's Sochi Winter Olympics.

The spectator was at the Bolshoy Ice Dome to watch the first round match between Russia and Slovenia, which took place on Feb. 13, and she wanted to capture the special moment of the history. However, she was appeared to get the wrong end of the digital camera when she was attempting to take a photo of the game: she ended up snapping only one of her own eye.

To make matters worse, the comical moment was broadcast live on Russian television. The image shows the close-up of the woman's eye on the preview screen of the camera. Ever since the game, it has instantly gone viral and became one of the most discussed pictures of the games.

Twitter user Bryan Wood spotted the picture and tweeted it. "A woman attempting to take a picture at a hockey game in Sochi today," he wrote the following caption. "This may be one of my favorite pics ever." Instead of mocking the image, he found the snapshot rather adorable. "I actually think it's cute," he added. "I will get old & do those things. I will laugh at myself 'cuz I have a sense of humor."

The image gained more than 33,000 retweets and 21,000 favorites since it was first posted on Twitter. Numerous users also responded in sympathy to the accident. "I can relate," another user Carrie Doll commented. "My 3 year old is better at taking pix and selfies than I am!"
