Warner Bros. has released an exclusive new teaser for the upcoming film "Black Mass."

The new Spanish teaser shows Johnny Depp in action as the infamous mobster Whitey Bulger. The new movie by Scott Copper tells the story of Whitey Bulger, the brother of a state senator and the most infamous violent criminal in the history of South Boston. It follows the story of Bulger as he became an FBI informant to take down a Mafia family invading his turf.

The film is extremely anticipated as most believe it will be Johnny Depp's comeback after a slew of terrible films and movies that did not show the actor's potential. Depp was at one point one of the most beloved actors and he was even nominated for three Academy Awards for his work on "Pirates of the Caribbean," "Finding Neverland" and "Sweeney Todd." However, as of late his films have either flopped or scored terrible reviews.

Warner Bros. is also taking the movie to the Venice and Toronto Film Festivals. This only gives the film a bigger status especially since a premiere at both these festivals generally means it is a quality film. However, that is not always the case.

Director Scott Cooper has directed two previous films. His first film "Crazy Heart" went on to win two Academy Awards and was nominated for three. His second film "Out of Furnace" received mixed reviews but still managed to get some awards buzz.

"Black Mass" stars an all-star cast that includes Academy Award nominee Benedict Cumberbatch, Dakota Johnson, Joel Edgerton, Juno Temple, Corey Stoll, Kevin Bacon, Peter Sarsgaard and Adam Scott.

"Black Mass" is scheduled to be released on Sept. 18 in wide release. The movie is rated R for brutal violence, language throughout, some sexual references and brief drug use.
