The "Suits" Season 5 midseason finale had many shocking moments, but Harvey Specter's (Gabriel Macht) resignation and Mike Ross' (Patrick J. Adams) arrest for fraud were undoubtedly the most significant.

Will fans learn who snitched about Ross to law enforcement in the final six episodes of Season 5?

"In real life you might never know who did it," "Suits" creator and showrunner Aaron Korsh told The Hollywood Reporter. "The bigger question is: what are we going to do about it? But after being presented that question by a hundred different people it's like, 'OK. I guess we need to explore this thing.' We're not going to find out in [episode] 511, but we will find out down the line."

Korsh confirmed that someone definitely turned in Ross.

"We went through the whole gamut and landed on someone I liked," he said. "It's not necessarily poetic, but we've seen a lot of different reactions to people discovering Mike's secret and this is a new reaction."

The arrest will change the course of Ross' relationship and wedding plans with Rachel Zane (Meghan Markle). How is the revelation that Ross was a fraud going to affect Zane? Her mother and father are going to learn about it; will that change their approval of the relationship?

"We're going to tackle what we think are some of the consequences that this thing would have on their relationship," Korsh said, referring to Ross and Zane. "The truth of the matter is I am not 100 percent sure what the ultimate fate of their relationship in these last six is going to be."

Ross' arrest will impact the law firm as well.

"Harvey may have just resigned, but he's going to question whether he should still go forward with that in light of this new thing," said Korsh, adding, "Previous decisions are back on the table to be revisited. And not just in [episode] 511, but I would say the back six in general."

He also revealed that viewers won't have a chance to really know what the ramifications of Specter's therapy were for a while because he'll be facing new decisions following Ross' arrest.

The first half of the Season 5 focused on Specter. The second half will focus more on Ross and the consequences of his arrest.

When asked if the last six episodes would pick up right where the midseason finale left off, Korsh said, "We pick up pretty much right away."

"Suits" returns to USA Network in early 2016, likely airing in late January.
