Robert Pattinson is back in the limelight, but not without the aching and lingering questions about his ex-girlfriend Kristen Stewart.

One of the actor's fan sites uploaded Rob's interview with Elle France, where he was asked about how he feels about doing another "Twilight" movie. He answered, "why not!" but when asked whether he's willing to work again with his ex-girlfriend Kristen Stewart, he replied, "I prefer not to broach the subject."

Whether he meant "no" or he's just leaving the matters to movie producers, the statement definitely brings out some unresolved issues between the two.

As per Hollywood Life, one of the reasons why the Edward-Bella tandem was so successful is because of the undeniable chemistry between the two. Marred with K-Stew's infidelity issues, Rob and Kristen's relationship fell apart during the last seasons of the "Twilight" movie.

Since then, Rob has been in a relationship with FKA Twigs while Kristen took a rather different route, joining the LGBT community where she went steady with her best friend, Alicia Cargile. Rob and Kristen have also ventured in their own separate films wherein Kristen Stewart was partnered with Jesse Eisenberg in "American Ultra" while Rob is getting his own starring role in "Life" and "The Lost City of Z."

In another report from Hollywood Life, Kristen also made clear of his intentions to make a comeback for a "Twilight" reboot.

During the promotion of "American Ultra" where Kristen stars with Eisenberg, she was asked whether she's open to the idea of joining a "Twilight" reboot. She answered, "I was so genuinely, heavily entrenched in that, and not in a way that felt like an obligation. To be honest with you, I would be interested, but it wouldn't emotionally affect me one way of the other."

If both actors seem to have interest on a "Twilight" reboot, there's no question that fans will be thrilled despite the tumultuous personal relationship they had in the past.

Robert Pattinson, 29, and Kristen Stewart, 25, parted ways when Kristen was caught cheating with Rupert Sanders, director of "Snow White and the Huntsman," where the actress also starred. Several intimate pictures of the two circulated online that it's hard not to believe the rumors. Rupert's wife has also been rumored to file for a divorce after the infidelity issues. Rob may have suffered in the incident, but in his 2014 interview with Esquire, he shocked the fans when he said "It's just young people.. It's normal!"
