It has been announced that Amanda Seyfried has replaced Mila Kunis to co-star with a foul-mouthed teddy bear in the upcoming comedy film, Ted 2.

In the 2012 original movie, Kunis played Mark Wahlberg's girlfriend, who ends up marrying him in the end. However, the film director Seth MacFarlane cast Seyfried as the female lead for the sequel, and "Mila will only appear in a tiny role, if at all."

It is claimed that replacing the That '70s Show star with the Mean Girls actress was purely a creative decision, and that she and MacFarlane still remain close, as Mila Kunis continues to voice the character of Meg on Family Guy.

Mark Wahlberg will once again play his role as 30-something-year-old man-child Bennett, along with his best friend Ted. Seth MacFarlane will voice the teddy bear, as well as direct, produce and write the sequel. He is still in the process of putting together the pieces for Ted 2.

The director is also nearly done with post-production on his next film, A Million Ways to Die in the West, in which he himself stars with Liam Neeson, Charlize Theron, Amanda Seyfried and another Ted star Giovanni Ribisi, produced by Scott Stuber.

Ted broke box office records when it was released and made close to $550 million worldwide, becoming the highest grossing original R-rated comedy of all time. Ted 2 is set to hit theaters on July 26, 2015.
