A Google Glass user was allegedly verbally and physically attacked and was later robbed after sporting the wearable device inside a San Francisco bar.

Tech writer Sarah Slocum posts on her Facebook account, "OMG so you'll never believe this but... I got verbally and physically asaulted and robbed last night in the city, had things thrown at me because of some wanker Google Glass haters, then some *bleeeeeeeeeep* tore them off my face and ran out with them then and when I ran out after him his *bleeeeeeep* friends stole my purse, cellphone walet and everything.."

The news has spread like wildfire, getting comments from the tech writer's friends, friends of friends and the media, seemingly overwhelming her.

"Man I'm either going to turn of friend's friend's comments or start deleting people," she initially posted on her Facebook account.

"this has consumed my life since late friday night Caleb Kirk. from being assaulted and robbed, to being locked out of my house, to not having a cell, id, money, house keys etc, to being contacted by everyone i practically know after posting what happened to me, to being attacked again by people who are questioning my story and calling it a personal PR stunt, to being contacted by or written about by practically every major publication, i have been overwhelmed, frazzled, stressed, and today up since 5:30, went to bed late. crazy last few days," she later commented after sharing links to write-ups of the incident.

Sarah was reportedly with a friend at Molotov's, a bar on Haight Street San Francisco on the night of the incident. According to a report by CBS San Francisco, witnesses said that the tech writer was rather friendly, and even demonstrated the smartglasses.

However, other bar patrons reportedly got upset about the possibility of being recorded by the wearable, says CBS San Francisco. One particular bar patron reportedly insulted Sarah, followed by her friend retaliating with a fist, notes the report.

"I think everybody was just upset that she would be recording outside of a bar this late with obvious embarrassing behavior going on," witness Brian Lester told CBS San Francisco. "And just rather insulted that someone thinks it's okay to record them the entire time they're in public."

True enough, Sarah posted a video of the incident on her Facebook account, saying, "So after I was hostility treated by the two girls, verbally assaulted and given the bird by the girl in this video for apparently their privacy/tech animosity and hatred I decided that I should start filming this extremely strange, hostile and threatening behavior. This is what happened. And from this point to the time that I was assaulted and robbed was about 2-4 minutes. This was the first video footage that I took while in this bar that night."
