Last week, Amir Khan lashed out at Floyd Mayweather for snubbing him out of a title match. He then went on to say that the undefeated champ is afraid to go into the ring with him because he intentionally chooses slower boxers to fight against.

But for Mayweather, Khan doesn't deserve a fight with him unless he beats the American orthodox boxer Adrian Broner in an undercard fight before his match against Marcos Maidana.

According to the Guardian, Mayweather laid out the challenge to the British boxer by tweeting, "I don't have an easy fight on May 3, 2014, so I can't overlook @ChinoMaidana but @AmirKhan, if you and @AdrianBroner end up fighting each other on my show and you win (which you won't)...I'll fight you."

Khan responded with some choice words and tweeted, "FM is full of sh*t. Just like 'my next opponent' poll." Khan was of course referring to the online poll created by Mayweather asking his fans to choose between Khan or Maidana as his next opponent. Khan stated that he clearly won the poll but Mayweather decided to go with the Argentinean.

An article on Bleacher Report pointed out that in 2010, the British fighter dominated over Maidana in their title match. Also, during Broner's fight against Maidana last year, the latter knocked the American down twice and won the fight via unanimous decision. This cemented the first loss in Broner's professional fighting career.

These two fights are probably the source of Khan's confidence. He tweeted, "If @AdrianBroner wants it let's do it. Maidana knocked him down twice. [I'll] knock him out!"

However, there are no official negotiations yet between a potential undercard fight between Khan and Broner. But if it does happen, and the Brit emerges as the victor, Mayweather may have no other choice but to schedule a fight with him.
