The fifth season of the highly popular horror anthology series on FX, "American Horror Story: Hotel," has released its opening title sequence for the show. As always, the theme for the coming season is new, but the sequence is just as disturbing as those for previous seasons.

Variety reports that the opening title sequence shows some interesting imagery that is enough to disturb the fans, who anxiously await the "Hotel" season with promises of new vigor and star power coming to the show.

A majority of the usual troupe of actors returns this season, but with different characters and roles. While each season has its own theme, all are inherent to classic American horror in popular fiction.

The first season was about the "Murder House," the second season was the "Asylum" installment, the third season was about witches and was titled "Coven," and the fourth was about the classic American "Freak Show."

The opening credits for each installment have always been unique to the season's theme. With this year's theme being "Hotel," fans can pretty much guess what's in store for them, as evidenced by the newly released clip.

Beyond the disturbing imagery, one unique aspect of the new title sequence is the presence of Bible quotes. The Ten Commandments are heavily featured at various points of the opening.

Viewers can probably guess the types of themes that will play out this season based on the commandments. "Thou shall not commit adultery" or "thou shalt have no other Gods before me" seem like fertile ground for the show's disturbing style.

"AHS: Hotel" will star Wes Bentley, Max Greenfield, Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Matt Bomer, Angela Bassett, Evan Peters, Lily Rabe, Chloe Sevigny, Finn Wittrock, Denis O'Hare, Cheyenne Jackson and the headliner for the season, Lady Gaga. It is set to premiere on FX on Oct. 7 at 10 p.m. ET.
