Take a look on the two sneak peeks for "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." second episode, titled "Purpose in the Machine," which will air on Oct. 6, 9 p.m. ET. The teasers show the two new leaders, Daisy Johnson and Grant Ward, in their diverse paths.

Marvel Entertainment released a video on Youtube showing Johnson (Chloe Bennet) conversing with the agency's shrink, Dr. Andrew Garner (Henry Simmons).

Daisy already felt why Dr. Garner needed to talk to her and it is about Joey (Juan Pablo Raba), the Inhuman, a powered individual like her that the team extracted last episode. Joey has the ability to melt metal. Even before Dr. Garner started his evaluation, Daisy said, "Let me guess, Joey Gutierrez is unfit for action physically, psychologically and emotionally?"

Dr. Garner told Daisy that Joey may actually be ready in time, but Daisy felt the agency should not waste any second finding them, especially with several Inhumans popping up because of the terrigen-contaminated fish oil that triggered them to manifest special abilities.

With them being exposed, the ACTU, headed by Rosalind Price (Constance Zimmer), will eventually get hold of them fast and eliminate them. Moreover, she shared how the monstrous Lash (Matt Willig), who is out there killing people, is definitely a big challenge for the team.

The psychologist also told Daisy that he observed her transforming into a leader.

Meanwhile, another clip released by Marvel showed Ward (Brett Dalton) gathering his own force as well. In the video, he is in a fast car talking to a member while another man is positioned on the car's hood.

"Hydra's full of guys like him: soft, entitled, mistaking wealth for success, privilege for powers. Their greed splintered Hydra into a thousand pieces. Their time is over. Time for a leaner generation," Ward lectured the man beside him.

This is the new HYDRA promised by Dalton on Comic Vine.

"This is not like your father's HYDRA...It's not so much pro-world domination as it is anti-S.H.I.E.L.D. This is the yin to Coulson's (Clark Gregg) yang. This is HYDRA in Ward's vision," Dalton said.

Jemma Simmons' case

Aside from these two stars, viewers will find out what really happened to Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge), who was swallowed by the Kree monolith in last season's finale. The season three premiere showed Simmons in another world with a "planet and a moon in the sky behind her," noted Comic Book.

An Asgardian will help the team solve Simmons' case, informed Comic Book Resources, citing ABC's synopsis. Broadway World noted that Professor Elliot Randolph (Peter MacNicol) is the Asgardian who will be the agency's hope.
