It's been a long time since "Resident Evil 6" was released — three years to be exact — but there is still no indication that its next installment is indeed coming.

According to GameRant, Capcom producer Masachika Kawata did an interview with Dengeki PlayStation's 600th volume, and he pretty much answered all the questions pertaining to the company's upcoming video games.

However, with regard to "Resident Evil 7," he did not confirm anything but asked fans to stay tuned for possible news about the next installment.

His statement gave some hope that maybe, just maybe, a "Resident Evil" installment will be unveiled soon or they are at least working on creating one.

Kawata's statement about "Resident Evil 7," as quoted by IGN, said, "We're currently not at a state to talk about it... but please stay tuned. And of course I believe we should produce titles that bring out the horror. I'm thinking about it and also preparing for it."

When asked whether Capcom is also working on titles like "Devil May Cry," the producer implied that there's so many things to do, and creating another "Devil May Cry" series isn't one of their priorities at the moment.

Four years was the longest time fans had to wait for a "Resident Evil" installment. This time, they expect a good title when "Resident Evil 7" finally arrives.

According to Siliconera, when asked whether there will be any HD version for "Resident Evil 2," "Resident Evil 3" and "Outbreak," Kawata said, "The hurdle is high, but we'd like to respond to as much demand as possible."

Right now, there is no specific date for "Resident Evil 7," but the information Kawata shared gave hope to fans that it may come sooner than later. Apparently, "Resident Evil 7" is in while "Devil May Cry" is definitely out of the company's plans.

VG247 said that the producer also confirmed that there will be no offline version of "Dragon's Dogma."

Dengeki PlayStation's 600th volume has been celebrated by Apart from Capcom, various gaming developers have also participated in Dengeki PlayStation's 600th volume, where they answered concerns and questions about their own video games.

"Resident Evil 7's" platform, launch and release date are still up in the air, and, until then, fans might have to wait until Capcom's next announcement.
