Samsung looks to get back in the race by adding a major feature in the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7.

The 3D Touch feature on the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus is one of the biggest innovations of Apple for its new line of smartphones. The pressure-sensitive screen makes navigation faster and more efficient with the quick action menu popping up when the user presses on the application hard enough. It's a trailblazing new feature that is one of the reasons the latest iPhones are at the top of the season's new offers.

Apple may be a step ahead of the competition, but Samsung isn't far behind with its technological advancements. According to GSM Arena, a report from Chinese website Weibo revealed that Samsung's next flagship smartphone will be featuring the 3D Touch addition as well.

Samsung reportedly tapped Synaptic for the new screen technology called ClearForce, setting the company on track to rival their biggest competitors in this feature that's currently exclusive to Apple's newest iPhones.

The upcoming Galaxy S7 is a high-end smartphone that is set to be one of Samsung's biggest releases. According to a previous report from Latin Post, it may be launched before the end of the year. Other projected features for the new flagship include a built-in iris scanner for better security, reinforced Tortoise Glass, 2560 x 1440 pixel QHD resolution and Super AMOLED display technology.

Samsung Galaxy S7 is expected to be priced at $915 for the 32GB version.

Although Samsung will be fitting their pressure-sensitive screens for the Galaxy S7, another company will be offering the new feature sooner than them.

The Huawei Ascend Mate S emerged as a new competitor to the high-end phones in the market by unveiling its own pressure-sensitive technology dubbed the Force Touch, according to a report from 9 to 5 Google. With this innovative feature, users can zoom in to parts of the photos or weigh items using the Huawei smartphone.

Aside from the brand new screen technology, the Ascend Mate S will be packed with more features that make it worth considering over similar phones.

These features include a full HD 5.5-inch display, a fingerprint sensor, Hisilicon Kirin 935 octa-core processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB or 64GB of storage and a 2,700 mAh battery. Huawei upgraded with a 13-megapixel f/2.0 rear camera and an eight-megapixel f/2.4 front camera with LED soft light. It's powered by the Hisilicon Kirin 935 octa-core processor.
