A familiar looking sneaker model is about to hit the market this week and sneakerheads will surely do their best to get their hands on it.

Jordan Brand will release the Air Jordan 1.5 again in White/Black-Soar colorway, which is officially dubbed as the "The Return" edition.

The Air Jordan 1.5 "The Return" features a white-based upper part with blue and black panel. It also sports black laces and lining along with Nike Swoosh logo, and blue Jordan wings logo and Nike Air branding on the black tongue and white insole. It was finished off with a white midsole and blue outsole.

Aside from its simple but elegant look, this model has rich history behind it. According to Nike, this was the shoe worn by basketball legend Michael Jordan when he made his return from a foot injury during the 1986 NBA Playoffs. He was torn on what to use -- Air Jordan 1 or Air Jordan 2.

In turn, Nike designers created a combination of both Air Jordan models, which turned out to be the Air Jordan 1.5 model, which sports the upper part of the first ever Air Jordan model and elements of the second Air Jordan model.

"Deciding between shoes, the Air Jordan 2 featured more support and cushioning but the Air Jordan 1 was what His Airness was more comfortable in," Nike noted. "Finding a common ground for his return, the Air Jordan 1 High The Return was created, featuring the upper of the Air Jordan 1 and the tooling of the Air Jordan 2."

The Air Jordan 1.5 "The Return" will arrive at retailers on Thursday, Oct. 22. It will be available for $150 per pair on Nike.com and selected retailers worldwide. More information and official photos of this retro model are available on the official product page.

Meanwhile, sneakerheads should also look forward to the soon-to-be-released new colorway of the Air Jordan 8 Retro. The Air Jordan 8 Retro will be available in "Three Time's A Charm" edition, which is officially listed as the White/Infrared23-Black-Bright Concord colorway of the popular model.

"The Air Jordan 8 Retro returns, with the newest colorway paying tribute to Chicago's first three-peat championship season, while taking color cues from each of the three defeated teams," Nike noted. "Vivid hues invigorate the white- and black-based shoe, in addition to the Infrared-toned Jumpman highlighted on the new tongue label."

The Air Jordan 8 Retro "Three Time's A Charm" will hit shelves on Saturday with retail price set at $190 per pair. More details and photos are available on this link.
