Apple's latest update to its operating system is its most ambitious update yet, and it's also quite possibly the best one yet -- iOS 7.1 has tweaked UI, fixed some of the reboot bugs, and even includes support for Apple's CarPlay feature. But given the disaster that was iOS 7, is this latest update to the operating system worth it?

Let's take a closer look at what these updates offer, according to Time Magazine:

- Even though the interface tweaks are minor, they're more user friendly. Apple, as a company, has built a reputation of user-friendliness (albeit, some may argue, TOO user-friendly, leading to jailbreaks and hacks), so the tweaks make sense for the brand as a whole, and for the user in general.

- Siri has been updated! Those who found Siri too clumsy -- especially since it picked up ambient noise and got glitches from it as an end result -- will love this new update to Siri, which is much more functional than ever before. There's also more "natural" sounding voices in a variety of languages, including Spanish. (The original Siri sounded "stilted" in English, let alone other languages, so this is certainly a welcome update!)

- The HDR is now available -- it helps prevent the "glare" caused by the photos being taken on sunny days or with excessive ambient light.

- The bug fixes now prevent the so-called "Home screen crash bug," as well as the constant resetting of the phone that was prevalent in the first version of iOS 7.

Furthermore, according to The Verge, additional fixes to this new update include the fixing of the FaceTime call drops, much-needed security fixes (hackers were able to access material that should have been protected by SSL encryption, but instead was easily accessible), and iMessage and lock-screen problems.
