Wrestling DVD Network just released the list of WWE Home Video plans for 2016, which includes Best PPV Matches of 2015, The Best of Raw and SmackDown 2015, The Best of NXT as well as superstar specials for The Dudley Boyz and Scott Hall. One surprising possible release is a DVD and Blue-Ray special for Shane McMahon in May.

It is not confirmed if the project will happen as Best of the U.S. Title is also slated to be released on the same month. According to What Culture, WWE and Shane are still in negotiations of the terms of his involvement on the project.

The report noted that "Shane O'Mac" could possibly be interviewed for his documentary with the rest of the home videos about his best matches, segments and moments. It is also speculated that if the DVD project is set, a return on Monday Night Raw in 2016 is expected for Shane as a way to promote his documentary.

The 45-year-old was the Executive Vice President of WWE Global Media that oversees live event bookings, digital media, consumer products, publishing and the international TV distribution of WWE programming from 2003 to 2010 until his resignation, per his WWE Corporate Profile.

He announced his resignation on October 2009, which was effective at the start of 2010. McMahon wrote a letter on WWE.com thanking the company, superstars, his father and the fans. Shane never explained why he left his father's company, saying it was just time for him to move on to other business ventures.

"I have never even considered a future outside the walls of the WWE. However, sometimes life takes an unexpected turn and while it is the most difficult decision I have ever made, it is time for me to move on," Shane said on his letter.

Justin LaBar of TribeLive reported that there was a rumored fallout with Vince McMahon that has led to his departure. He also noted that 2009 to 2010 was a bad time for WWE as the main roster was getting old with no developmental system in place like what they have in NXT right now.

Since he left the WWE, Shane has been doing great as he became the CEO of You On Demand, the first Video-On-Demand and Pay-Per-View service in China, per the LA Times. He stepped down as CEO last July 2013 but remained with the company as Chairman and Principal Executive Officer of the Board, as reported by PR Newswire.
