Fans and followers of Samsung who are eagerly anticipating the release of the Galaxy S5, especially those who live in the U.K., can now take comfort in knowing that the S5 now has a release date in the U.K.!

According to the U.K.'s PC Advisor, the Galaxy S5 will make its official rollout in the U.K. on April 11, though interested consumers can pre-order the phone beginning March 28 from the U.K.'s premiere clearinghouse for phones, Carphone Warehouse. A spokesperson for Carphone Warehouse sat down with the outlet, and said that the demand for the phone was already much higher than anyone anticipated.

"We've seen record numbers of pre-registrations for the Samsung Galaxy S5 compared to its predecessors so we know that customer demand for this new handset is exceptionally high. We're expecting pre-orders to go through the roof when we open on 28 March as a huge number of Samsung fans are coming toward the end of their contracts and will be looking to upgrade to a new, yet still familiar, device," they said.

Meanwhile, in other Samsung news, Miami Heat star LeBron James is in a bit of hot water after a tweet he posted -- and subsequently deleted -- slammed Samsung, which is the very company that is endorsing him.

Fox News is reporting that the basketball superstar, who is being paid handsomely to promote the Galaxy Note 3 phablet, tweeted that his phone was on the fritz. "My phone just erased everything it had in it and rebooted. One of the sickest feelings I've ever had in my life!!!" he wrote to his 12 million followers.

LeBron subsequently deleted the tweet and followed it up with "Close call. Phew! Got all my info back!"

Samsung, reportedly, spent close to $14 BILLION last year in marketing, so we're not sure they're too happy about its very expensive investment playing loose and fast with the tweets!
