The new look Homeland is returning this fall, but will fans take to the cast shakeup and new feel of the show? In case you missed the last few episodes of season 3 of Showtime's mega-hit, Emmy Award winning series, let us fill you in. The season 3 finale "The Star" had a lot of stuff go down. Each of the last few episodes built up and eventually boiled over. The Iranians got to Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis). They strung him up in a square for all to see. So he's a goner. Never to be seen again... maybe, maybe not.

Now this is Carrie Mathison's (played by Claire Danes) show. She's gotta handle her crazy emotions in a brand spankin' new country, Turkey, while pregnant with her dead lover's baby. Crazy right? Except show runner Alex Gansa is going full steam ahead with this new plot.

What can we look forward to then in season 4? Lots of drama, that's for sure. And will new threats to the U.S. of A, and more importantly to Carrie and her baby, emerge? She has no one to protect her anymore. Her one time mentor and CIA boss Saul Berenson (played deftly by Mandy Patinkin) is a lowly contractor now. He was forced from his perch in "the company," but that doesn't mean that he's any less important to the future of Homeland.

So what's Carrie's new job? Well, she's been promoted to Istanbul station chief. Basically, in season four she'll be in charge of assembling her own counter-insurgency and intel team in one of the world's busiest metropolises. Mathison should have her hands full though. With the religious tension in the city and Istanbul being the crossroads between Asia and Europe, legitimate threats could come hard and fast.

And back to what we mentioned before, a possible Brody return. If we were to see Brody in action again it would have to be via flashbacks. Brody could possibly pop up throughout season 4 and beyond, thanks to never before seen footage. However, Gansa is being tight-lipped about any future appearances by everyone's favorite redhead.
