Of all the predictions that "Back to the Future II" got wrong, the character of Biff may not have been one of them. The film used Donald Trump as the inspiration for the rise of Biff Tannen (Tom Wilson) in the first sequel film for the franchise, especially in the private and political arena.

In an interview with The Daily Beast, the film's writer Bob Gale let the cat out of the bag that the character was in fact inspired by Donald Trump, who is curiously mirroring the character from the movie in today's political and private arena.

"You watch 'Part II' again and there's a scene where Marty confronts Biff in his office and there's a huge portrait of Biff on the wall behind Biff, and there's one moment where Biff kind of stands up and he takes exactly the same pose as the portrait? Yeah," Gale said, referring to the way Trump has done the same thing.

There are also the other details about Biff in the film that mirror Trump. Biff had a 27-story casino built in Hill Valley's dystopian future that stands in the center of all the lawless chaos. The casino seemed to stand as a shrine to himself and he even encouraged the people of the city to call him "America's greatest living folk hero."

In real life, Trump built the Trump Tower in 1984, which had 37 floors and seems to stand as a shrine to himself. He also shook up the Republican Party, which Tannen also did in the film. This also allowed Tannen to assume political power. Trump is on that very same course today, running for the Republican nomination for president of the United States.

Although there were many predictions that film almost got right, a few have swayed away from factual history in the final moments. In an ironic twist of fate, they predicted the Chicago Cubs would win the World Series yesterday. But they in fact were eliminated yesterday from the NLCS by the New York Mets in a four-game sweep.

Who's to say what that means for Trump's political aspirations?
