Some good news for Samsung watchers who would like to get their hands on the much-anticipated Galaxy S5: the release date for the phone could be much sooner than expected!

According to UberGizmo, Samsung originally announced the official lauch date of the S5 to be sometime around April 11th in over 150 countries. However, many countries will receive the phone a lot earlier than expected! For example, Malaysia is due to receive the phone sometime around March 27 (in about 2 weeks from now!). So far, no other countries are following Malaysia's lead -- both the United States and the U.K. are due to release the phone on schedule, on April 11 of this year.

Meanwhile, according to Android Origin, the Galaxy S5 Zoom camera -- which made a bit of a splash when it was first rumored to have debuted -- is scheduled to hit the market sometime in the third quarter of this year. The S5 Zoom beats out the S4 Zoom in every department -- more storage capacity (16MB), a 19MP camera, and an Android KitKat 4.4 interface all signify that Samsung addressed the unimpressed hardware specs on the previous generation, allowing owners to store more files, use more services from Google and play videos with HD resolution. The device is expected to be unveiled in May 2014 and probably to be released in July, at the same time with Galaxy S4 Zoom last year.

Finally, the S5 has already gotten an early review -- long before it has even dropped -- thanks to the first impressions from the Mobile World Congress. The phone, which is expected to outsell all of the previous Galaxy phones combined, is more conspicuously plastic than the previous Samsung phones, but in nearly every other department -- from the screen size to the processor -- it can more than hold its own against the best of the best from HTC, Sony, and even the iPhone, according to TrustedReviews.com.
