Mark Ruffalo has hinted that "Thor: Ragnarok" will be a buddy film.

A few days after revealing that the Hulk would be the upcoming film, Ruffalo has hinted that his Marvel character will be teaming up with Thor in the third installment of the franchise. He said, "I don't really know that much about it, but I think it's going to be a buddy picture with Thor and Bruce Banner."

The actor also added that before they team up they will fight each other. "I think they'll probably fight. There's no doubt, everyone wants us to fight at one point." This of course would be no shock as the Hulk famously punched Thor in "The Avengers."

However Ruffalo was adamant that he knows little about the plot of the film. He said, "I know that it's about [the Norse legends of] 'Ragnarok,' or the end times in the Marvel universe as it pertains to Thor -- which seems to be quite the theme these days in movies,"

Ruffalo is currently promoting his upcoming film "Spotlight" for which critics are raving about his performance. The actor is getting Oscar buzz and most believe that it will land him his third Oscar nomination. The actor has previously been nominated for "The Kids Are All Right" and for "Foxcatcher."

He has also been seen in "Reservation Road," "Begin Again," "Zodiac" and "The Brothers Bloom." This year he was seen in "Infinitely Polar Bear," for which he obtained some of the best reviews of his career and "Avengers: Age of Ultron."

The Thor franchise began in 2011 and was followed by "Thor: The Dark World" in 2013. Both films met with box office success. The character later appeared in both Avengers movies. Chris Hemsworth is slated to reprise his role in the third installment which is slated for Nov. 3, 2017.
