Chicago Bulls coach Fred Hoiberg buys an Illinois house.

Hoiberg acquires an almost $4 million home in the territory of his NBA team, Chicago Real Estate Daily reported. The new residence of the 43-year-old basketball mentor in Burr Ridge rests on about 1.3 acres of Illinois land, noted the site, citing the DuPage County Recorder of Deeds.

The expansive property displays a basement equipped with a media room and a car garage that can accommodate four vehicles.

Its listing on Realtor.com noted that the single family home features six bedrooms, six full bathrooms and two half baths. The single family home reportedly includes a foyer, a family room, a laundry area, an office, a wet bar, and a kitchen and dining area.

The interior shows soaring ceilings and hardwood flooring with some of them lined with carpets. Outdoors, the Burr Ridge showcases a balcony, a patio and a porch.

Before Hoiberg purchased the property, he listed his Iowa home on the market for $1.17 million, per a separate article from Realtor.com. The NBA coach commissioned Gene Johnson of Hunziker & Associates Realtors as his listing agent for his Ames abode. This was where he lived in while he served as the Iowa State University basketball team mentor for five seasons.

His Iowa estate covers 4,092 square feet and rests on two acres of land. It has five bedrooms and four and a half baths.

Much loved in Chicago

Hoiberg entered as the mentor for the Bulls in June, NBA.com announced. The team's general manager Gar Forman welcomed the Nebraska-born mentor in their family with glee.

"In Fred, we feel that we've got a guy who has a terrific package of skills: a winning coach, a natural leader and a great communicator," Forman said.

Right now, he is receiving respect and admiration from his players, too, including small forward Doug McDermott and Bulls shooting guard Jimmy Butler, ESPN noted in October.

"We got Coach Hoiberg and his staff who we all really love, and it's just been really fun every day, which is a huge difference," McDermott said.

"[Hoiberg] really cares about how our bodies are feeling. He was asking how today was. But I think more than anything he just wants us to focus in on everything mentally, take it all in, and come back and have an even better day," Butler said.

Before Hoiberg became a coach, he was a former NBA athlete, per Basketball Reference. His debut in the NBA was in 1995 as a member of the Indiana pacers and retired in 2005 playing for Minnesota Timberwolves. In between these two teams, he spent four seasons with the Bulls from 1999 to 2003.
