There is no theme off-limits for Showtime's instant classic dramedy series "Shameless," as evidenced in the new trailer that has been released for the series' sixth season.

According to Deadline, the show has reached that pivotal moment where the tagline reads, "Family with a nuclear option."

For those that follow the extremely funny series you know all to well that this is not suitable for children. Although there are many children at the core of the Gallagher family who lives in the lower-class ghetto of Chicago's Southside. Some of the themes that have been visited in this show are so reprehensible that even the most seasoned viewers of gritty content have been known to cringe.

Season 6 is going to start out with patriarch Frank Gallagher (William H. Macy) taking another stint in the family home as a disgraced alcoholic and absentee father who in some way has found his softer side.

"I love you," Franks spurts out to each member of his family, which consists of his six children and an absentee wife who has only made one extended appearance on the show.

Although it is heartwarming sentiment from the man that has single-handedly ruined each one of his children's lives, Fiona (Emmy Rossum) has comically met her wits end with his sentimentality.

"I don't know how much more of that I can take before I stab him in the neck with a broken beer bottle," Fiona said in the trailer.

The rest of the trailer shows how the dysfunctional family has made new strides in the degenerate world of Machiavelli means for survival.

Carl is shown to have served some prison time and he comes out as a hardened man who has evolved even more into the criminal lifestyle. Ian is closely monitored for his meds and Lip is seen to be on the verge of a teaching job at a college.
