The smartphone market is swarming with hi-tech devices and new ones come out so so quickly, especially when it comes to Android phones. Here is a review of three of the top Android phones available this year.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 has to be mentioned. The new Galaxy has a new design and finish, now featuring a 5.1-inch touchscreen and 1980 x 1080 screen resolution. Its CPU is a 2.5 GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 801 with 16/32GB internal storage. The camera got boosted to 16mp and the battery reports a talk time of 21 hours and standby time of 390 hours. Coming this April 11, it comes out at the new smart phone price point of $799.99. It has a fingerprint scanner, is dust- and water-proofed, and is fitted with a heart rate monitor, the first of its kind on a smart phone.

Sony Xperia Z2 was introduced during the Mobile World Congress (MWV). It is Sony's competitor to the Samsung Galaxy S5. Xperia Z2 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor that can record and output 4K video. It has a 5.2-inch touchscreen with 1080 x 1920 resolution. Internal memory is 16 GB with 3GB RAM and has a 20.7mp primary and 2.2mp secondary camera.
