One of the top media companies for the Hispanic market in the United States launched a new premium English-language network from today's "young generation."
Spanish language broadcast network Univision and U.S. showbiz publication Variety announced a new Spanish-based entertainment news outlet, "Variety Latino - Powered by Univision," Tuesday. The joint venture is currently slated for a Feb. 27 debut.

While recording a scene of "Lo Que La Vida Me Robo", where Sebastian Rulli and Angelique Boyer's character share a love interest, Rulli had a small accident. As he held Angelique in his arms while running away from a massive fire, Rolli tripped on a rug, causing both actors to fall to the ground. Luckily, they were both far enough from the "fire" so they weren't seriously hurt. They walked away from the accident with minor cuts and bruises.
HSN and Univision have just bedded and conceived a new shopping portal, Boutique Univision, which will cater to Latino audiences and consumers. The partnership is a first-of-its-kind marketing partnership between two goliath companies, which will collaboratively tap the Hispanic consumer market.
The station was erected as KCOR-TV in 1955, but was sold and became KWEX-DT. The building in now facing total demolition; 50-60 percent of the building has already been torn down, but the remaining portion of the structure has temporarily been secured by a court order.
The new cable network, Fusion, that targets the young Hispanic demographic, launched today, and President Obama is set to make a special guest appearance this evening, helping to introduce the network to audiences.
