Fifth Harmony's Lauren Jauregui has named singer Tinashe as another of the artists who has contributed to their upcoming album.

According to Spin, Jauregui revealed the singer, popular for hits like "2 On" and "All Hands on Deck," helped write several songs on the pop group's highly anticipated new album.

Jauregui revealed working with Tinashe was easy because she and her fellow group members could relate to her because of their similarities in age and experience.

"She has really sick melody flows and lyrics," Jauregui said about Tinashe. "It's very cohesive with us. It's drawing from the same experience. That's what's important at the end of the day: having an authentic sound and having someone who understands what we're going through."

Along with Tinashe, the group also worked with popstar Meghan Trainor, producers Max Martin and Dr. Luke, among others, to bring something new to the table musically, reported Billboard.

The 19-year-old Latina also revealed it's not necessarily the more mature and urban sound she's excited about but more the new songs she believes are a step up from their first album.

"I think it's just less gimmicky than last time -- not to say that the music was, but in a sense, this sounds more honed in on a sound," she said.

As for the current state of their sophomore album, Jauregui said it is almost done and that the group is putting on the final touches but doesn't want to make any promises about when fans can expect it to be released.

Jauregui explained in the past the group got their album pushed back several times and knows how frustrating that is for fans, so while the group already has set all their final tracks she didn't want to give specific dates.

"We don't want to disappoint fans, but it should be coming out in the beginning of the year," she said.
