"Fear the Walking Dead" is still almost two months away, but it's already upping the ante with the new promo drop.

The quick succession of clips did not reveal too much about the upcoming season, but it did end with an ominous shot of an airplane flying over the ocean. This strongly suggests a connection to the "Flight 462" that was introduced in the miniseries last year, according to a report from Den of Geek. It has been previously revealed that one of the characters from the "Flight 462" will be joining the regular roster for the show.

Also joining the "Fear the Walking Dead" cast is "Hemlock Grove" star Dougray, although there have yet to be details revealed about his character. A report from TV Line speculated on his role saying, "He could be playing Casey, a character described in a recent casting breakdown as 'a decent man who believes in civility' and 'is confident in an unexpected position of authority.' Loyal to his family, Casey 'is still learning to be a leader. He regrets but accepts the necessary violence for a new vision.'"

Other actors that will be showing up in the "Walking Dead" spinoff are Daniel Zovatto of "It Follows" and Arturo Del Puerto of "Ride Along 2."

After a season ending with blood, gore and death, "Fear the Walking Dead" will pick up where it left off. A synopsis from Screen Crush revealed that the second season will see Madison, Travis and the rest of their family in Strand's estate over the Pacific Ocean, while Strand tries to escape to his yacht.

Meanwhile, showrunner Dave Erickson dished more about the upcoming season in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter after the season finale last year, particularly the play between land and water that will be introduced.

Erickson revealed that there will be a large number of humans avoiding land to survive adding, "If you look at Strand's yacht, it's a pretty handsome vessel. It's something that you can survive on for a good period of time, and that's something others might covet. So when you get to the question of what's worse, walker or human, we'll continue that theme. There will be quite a bit of action on the seas -- and we'll split it between land and water."

Unlike the pilot season, the second season of "Fear the Walking Dead" will have a total of 15 episodes. The first seven will be aired in spring, while the rest is set to be released later in 2016.

"Fear the Walking Dead" season two will premiere on Apr. 10 at 9 p.m.
