Yes, he is still alive and kicking!

Earlier this month, rumors that "Rush Hour" star Jackie Chan died were all over the Internet. And as expected, many people were shocked and saddened. But just last week, Chan himself silenced rumors posting a Facebook photo of himself very much alive and happy.

On Jun. 21 Chan wrote on his Facebook wall: "... Everybody called me to see if I was alive. If I died, I would probably tell the world! I took a photo with today's date, just in case you don't believe me! However, thank you all for your concern." The post came with a photo of Chan holding up a dated newspaper.

Only a few moments after the post, his fans breathed a sigh of relief. Over 200,000 people "liked" the post.

In a story by the Huffpost, one of his fans posted a heartfelt comment on Chan's post, writing: "I idolized you more than Bruce Lee. So better be safe at all times. Thanks for entertaining all of us. God bless." Similar posts of relief from fans flooded Chan's Facebook wall.

In 2011, the same rumor of Chan's death circulated around the Internet, sending fans into shock when the hoax claimed the star died of a heart attack. Why people spread such rumors may never be explained, but his fans are just happy their idol is still alive.

In recent years, many other Hollywood stars have had to endure rumors of being dead. Actors Eddie Murphy and Robert Pattinson had their share of fake death stories, as did actress Reese Witherspoon.

Jackie Chan is best known for the "Rush Hour" movies. One of his most recent movies is "Chinese Zodiac".
