Mortal Engine's movie hitting up theaters on December 2018

Universal and MRC announce the upcoming Mortal Engines movie are hitting up to theaters on December  14, 2018. The filmmaking pair of "the Lord of the Rings" and "Hobbit" are returning to the big screen, Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh together with Universal and MRC. Mortal Engines was based on first Philip Reeve's novel.
December 2018 are predicted to be a competitive month because James Cameron sequel movie ''Avatar" will be released on the 21st day in the same year by Fox. The first appearance of "Avatar" have released on the same week in December 2009. The series movie Mortal Engines incorporate with other three books: Predator's Gold, Infernal Devices and A Darkling Plain.

According to Variety, the film was set in a dystopian future where the globe on huge wheels is roaming in Earth cities, fighting each other to outlive in an abate resources. They added that the movie was a story of different heroes come to change the route of the future.
The film was said to be distributed worldwide by Universal. Lord of the Rings and Hobbit collaborate as co-producer by Zane Weiner, Deborah Forte and Amanda Walker as producer and Ken Kamins as executive producers.

Universal was serve as a worldwide distributor and co-financing the said film joining by MRC. The production scheduled to start this spring of 2017 in New Zealand. According to Comingsoon, Christian Rivers was fused to direct the film which spent 25-year working closely with Jackson. He begins as a story Board Artist and later become into supervising visual effects moving to serving as Splinter Unit Director on "The Hobbit."Christian also won an Academy Award for his 2005 film KingKong. In his throughout career, he worked as second unit director of Pete's Dragon and recently his first directing film "Mortal Engine."

Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens was their first time to write a project that Jackson has not directed. The book "Mortal Engine" have won several prestigious awards like Los Angeles Times Book, the Smarties Gold Award including the Guardian Children's Fiction Prize and Blue Peter Book of the year. The month of December was Jackson good fate because it brings him lucky movie like all six Hobbit and Lord of the Rings.
