Cleveland Cavaliers are attempting to utilize a trade exception that terminates Monday and furthermore keep on exploring the extremely slight plausibility of getting Carmelo Anthony by Thursday's due date.

Cleveland Cavaliers are reported to heavily link with the New York Knicks' Carmelo Anthony. The trade exception, left over from trading Anderson Varejao last season, is worth about $4.4 million. Anthony is a 12-time All-Star with a $24.6 million pay. So clearly one move would not be identified with the other, and the route, way outside shot at getting Carmelo Anthony in a due date deal. But on the other hand, it's the most unrealistic.

Cleveland Cavaliers really has two exemptions that lapse Monday, the $4.4 million opening from the Anderson Varejao bargain, and another value $947,000 from exchanging Jared Cunningham last season.Cleveland Cavaliers have examined trading for Utah point guard Shelvin Mack, who makes $2.4 million this season and is averaging 7.3 points and 2.8 assists, among others. They require a backup point guard, not such a great amount for the postseason but rather absolutely for March, as they endeavor to get All-Star starters, LeBron James and Kyrie Irving, some rest reports, Cleveland.

Anthony Carmelo holds a no-trade provision and it's unclear he would postpone it (he has said he needs to remain in New York). Additionally, his pay is so high the Cavs would need to part with a few list players and likely locate the third team. They have said secretly they don't expect to exchange the harmed Kevin Love to the Knicks for Anthony.

However, the New York Knicks - and more to the point, team president Phil Jackson - might be so edgy to move him by Thursday (as an aside, the Cavs and Knicks play each other that night in Cleveland), there is an inclination inside the class that they would measure offers for lesser players from teams, including possibly the Cleveland Cavaliers reports, Chat Sports.

It will be a huge victory for Cleveland Cavaliers if they able to get Carmelo Anthony from New York Knicks. Stay tuned for more NBA updates.
