Just a day after confirming that the Pels are to acquire Kings center Demarcus Cousins, the deal has reportedly been made and is now in the books. Demarcus Cousins is now officially a member of the New Orleans Pelicans.

According to Real GM, the Sacramento Kings on the other end acquired guards Buddy Hield, Tyreke Evans, and Langston Galloway, to go along with 2017 first and second-round draft selections from the New Orleans Pelicans in exchange for forward/center DeMarcus Cousins and forward Omri Casspi.

"It was clearly time for a change of scene, which is why I decided that this was the best direction for the organization," said Kings GM Vlade Divac. "Winning starts with culture and-and character."

Divac also believes that with the With the upcoming draft class set to be one of the strongest in the recent decade, the Boogie trade will allow Sacramento to build the depth needed in order to form a talented and developing roster moving forward. He also thanked DeMarcus for his contributions, along with wishing him all the best in New Orleans.

He then closed his statement with saying that the fans in Sacramento are the best in the world and he, along with the Sacramento Kings organization, are all committed to building a team that will continue to make the Sactown faithful proud. On the other end, the Pelicans organization are thrilled in welcoming DeMarcus Cousins and Omri Casspi to the New Orleans Pelicans.
