Another update on the upcoming WWE 2K14 game has recently been released and we've got the inside scoop.

2K Sports has just revealed the newest addition to their newest wrestling video game, none other than JBL. Yes, John "Bradshaw" Layfield will now be a playable character in WWE 2K14.

The announcement was made by JBL himself, the former WWE Champion, with his signature big-mouthed arrogance. And given the magnitude of this announcement to all wrestling fans, it was appropriately made atop the Alps.

The news was also posted on 2K Digital Marketing Director Ronnie Singh's twitter account.

"Look what JBL held up on the top of his latest mountain climbing expedition," he wrote, followed by a link to the video announcement.

JBL was WWE Champion for 280 days and won 24 total championships in his WWE career.

According to Gaming Union, JBL has not been made a playable character in the video game's franchise since WWE Smackdown vs. Raw in 2011. Now with 2K on the wheel, following the "demise" of THQ, the company is ready to make a big impact with their first take on the series.

"FINALLY. 2K Sports' lineup of premier simulation titles expands with the company's first release in the flagship WWE videogame franchise, WWE 2K14. The most electrifying, authentic and comprehensive WWE video game experience to date arrives soon," the official WWE 2K Sports website wrote.

JBL will be joining Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock and the Undertaker, who will all be making their comeback to the video game. WWE 2K14, which features The Rock on the cover, will be released in stores across the U.S. Oct. 29 on Sony PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Xbox 360.
