Electronic Arts, popularly known as EA Inc., has recently outlined its system requirements for BioWare's up and coming action-RPG, "Mass Effect: Andromeda," revealing that system owners would need a NVIDIA GTX 1060 3GB or AMD RX 480 video card to be able to achieve maximum in-game performance. Players that are eager to jump back into the galaxy of Mass Effect don't necessarily need a very expensive gaming rig in order to run the game at an acceptable framerate, however, the game's minimum system requirements do demand a fraction of the hardware horsepower required for peak performance.

According to Digital Trends, "Mass Effect: Andromeda" is the latest entry in game developer BioWare's galaxy-trekking sci-fi series, which follows up on a trilogy of releases for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC platforms over the past decade. The upcoming sequel will be featuring an entirely new cast and its open-world framework will enable players to explore multiple planets and star systems.

PC players will also need a 64-bit Windows 7, 8.1, or Windows 10 setup in order to fully run "Mass Effect: Andromeda," as well as having 55 GB of free hard drive space. The game also requires an Intel Core i5 3570 or AMD FX-6350 processor and an 8GB of system RAM to run at just the minimum settings, along with a NVIDIA GTX 660 2GB or AMD Radeon 7850 2GB graphics card or any equivalent.

According to Tech Investor News, EA's recommended settings has already bumped processor requirements up to an AMD FX-8350 or Intel Core i7-4790 at a minimum. Players that already have high-end rigs will also be needing at least 16 GB worth of system RAM as well as an AMD RX 480 4GB or NVIDIA GTX 1060 3GB video card or even better in order to achieve smooth frame rates at high resolutions.

Veteran players at known gaming forum NeoGAF have specifically recommended a multi-core CPU, such as those featured in AMD's Ryzen lineup has typically seen improved performance when running on a multi-core processor. "Mass Effect: Andromeda" officially rolls out for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC on March 21, 2017.
