It was a shocking and devastating Tuesday night for residents of in different parts of Chicago as four tornadoes have hit and damaged almost all of infrastructures and have injured more than ten. It was already reported that strong to severe storms will take place along the areas of Ottawa-Utica, Naplate, and surrounding towns. Large hails were also produced with high winds as a result of the extreme weather disturbance.

Although the casualties have already gone up to four based on the reports of The Weather Channel, there were also damaged homes and properties that need attention. Due to their predicament, the displaced residents will have to stay in temporary shelters at Love Gym at Ottawa Township High School. Additional shelters will be provided by the American Red Cross situated near the Ottawa-Utica area, where it is heavily damaged.

More than the reported four tornadoes have devastated the areas of Ottawa in La Salle County, III, with multiple tornadoes has passed on Standard, Ottawa, Marseilles and Morris around 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. According to reports from WLS-TV, 7,400 households were already reported to have no electricity along the Ottawa-Naplate and nearby towns. Tornado warnings were also up at 6 p.m. in La Salle, Livingston and Grundy counties; it was also spotted near Rutland by a trained storm catcher.

The damages are yet to be assessed in order to determine other areas affected by the Tornado. Amy Seeley of the National Weather Service Meteorologist cannot still tell how many tornadoes in total have hit the areas. Since hails are also destructive, there were reports that the hail was sized from a penny to a baseball, quarter-sized hail in Joliet and baseball-sized in Ottawa.

The storm went further into the Northeast on Thursday morning, still affecting the parts of New York and across with almost 40,000 households having power outages. Delays in flight schedules at New York City's La Guardia Airport may have been caused by a lightning strike at the runway which has forced them to temporarily shut down.
