Cesc Fabregas is on his way out of Camp Nou, and reports indicated that Chelsea are willing to break the bank to win the bidding war for the Barcelona midfielder.

Metro UK reported that Manchester United are still the favorites to land Fabregas at this point, but sources indicated that the Blues will look to outbid the Red Devils by offering a huge wage deal.

According to reports, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is willing to raise the Spain international's salary to £200,000-a-week if he decides to move from Barcelona to west London.

"Jose Mourinho wants the 27-year-old to replace Frank Lampard, after he was released this week, and Chelsea are going all out to get their man," Metro UK reported. "According to sources in Spain, Chelsea are willing to bolster Fabregas' salary to about £200,000-a-week, if moves to west London."

Fabregas has been a subject of transfer rumors over the past several days with Chelsea, Manchester United, and Arsenal mentioned as his most likely destinations as he is determined to return to the English Premier League next season.

Barcelona teammate Gerard Pique confirmed reports that his compatriot will not be playing at Camp Nou anymore next season, saying that the club sold Fabregas for €33 million, but he declined to reveal what team the veteran midfielder has been sold to.

Pique expressed disappointment over Fabregas' impending exit, saying that his fellow Spaniard was not appreciated enough in Barcelona.

"I really like Cesc and I know he is going through a tough time because the club doesn't appreciate him as much as they should," Pique said via Euro Weekly News. "He is one of those players who would be first-choice at any other club in the world, the star of the team. Despite that, he is finding it harder at Barca."

Chelsea striker Fernando Torres expressed excitement over the possibility of playing alongside the 27-year-old midfielder next season, saying that his Spain national team teammate can help bring Chelsea to the next level.

"Fabregas likes to play good football and will offer technique, a cutting edge and also goals," Torres said via the Daily Mail. "If he's made to feel important, a leader -- just as he was when at Arsenal -- he can drive the team on and he's a type of player Chelsea don't have right now."
