After trying to get him hanged and placing his family in danger, former Vice President Mike Pence is saying he will not endorse Donald Trump. Meanwhile, a judge has ruled that Fulton County DA Fani Willis gets to stay on the Georgia election case, but with a condition.

While Pence had once been described as one of Trump's most loyal officials, the two fell off after Pence refused to help the then-president illegally overturn the election results. This led to the events of January 6 when Trump whipped up a crowd of supporters to lay siege to the Capitol. Many were specifically targeting Mike Pence that day, chanting, "Hang Mike Pence!"

"It should come as no surprise that I will not be endorsing Donald Trump this year," the former Trump vice president declared during an interview with Fox News' Martha MacCallum. He then stated while he was proud of his accomplishments, he slammed his former running mate as "not conservative enough on issues including the national debt, abortion, and being tough on China."

These comments came after Trump came against the bipartisan decision to block TikTok if Chinese-owned parent company ByteDance does not sell the platform. However, Pence refused to speculate why his former running mate had an about-face about the Chinese-owned platform.

"Donald Trump is pursuing and articulating an agenda that is at odds with the conservative agenda that we governed on during our four years," the former VP explained, adding, "and that's why I cannot, in good conscience, endorse [him] in this campaign."

As for who he will endorse for the presidency, Pence stated he would also not vote for Joe Biden and stated that his vote would remain a private decision, according to NPR.

Mike Pence Decision Not To Endorse Donald Trump Gets Praise From Trump Critics

While many Republicans who once criticized Donald Trump have fallen in line, including Mitch McConnell, Pence's announcement not to endorse his former running mate has sent ripples and is getting praise from Trump critics.

Former House Republican Representative for Illinois, Adam Kinzinger, simply stated, "Good job Mike Pence." Meanwhile, popular political commentator Tommy Vietor was caught by surprise, saying, "I did not expect this from Mike Pence. Credit to him for showing some backbone. This is a big deal."

Fani Willis Stays in Donald Trump Georgia Election Case But With One Condition

After days of testimony regarding the case of whether Fani Willis should be kicked out of the Georgia election case against Donald Trump, Judge Scott McAfee ruled that she could stay. However, special prosecutor Nathan Wade cannot.

Hours after the decision, Wade resigned from the case, according to CNN. Willis has now accepted the resignation and thanked her former special prosecutor for his work.

The judge noted that the timing of when the relationship between Wade and Willis came out was questionable, and he also determined there was not enough evidence of the allegations against them.

"Ultimately, dismissal of the indictment is not the appropriate remedy to adequately dissipate the financial cloud of impropriety and potential untruthfulness found here," he said in his decision to keep Willis on the case.
