The actress best known for playing Santana on Fox's TV show "Glee" has married. The wedding took place over the weekend in Mexico and was an intimate and private affair with very little media exposure.

Naya Rivera, 27, tied the knot with actor Ryan Dorsey, according to TMZ. The wedding happened in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico on July 19. According to the gossip site, the couple started dating soon after Rivera broke up with her previous boyfriend, the rapper Big Sean, in April.

Rivera may have based a lot of her wedding on her previously planned nuptials with the rapper. TMZ reports that Big Sean and Rivera planned on getting married on July 19 and that she wore a dress by the same designer, Monique Lhuillier, who designed the gown Big Sean gave her for their wedding.

However, Dorsey's father, Arnold, told the site that the wedding was planned on that date because that is Dorsey's birthday. The wedding comprised only family from both sides and numbered around 12 attendees.

According to Just Jared, Dorsey's acting careers is not particularly exemplary, having only done individual episodes for some TV shows. However, his big debut is coming up in the movie "Blood Father," in which he will be acting along side Mel Gibson and William H. Macy.

A source "close to Naya," speaking with Us Weekly, gave more details about the wedding.

"Naya didn't tell most of her friends that she was marrying Ryan Dorsey, let alone that she was dating him! The whole thing is a complete surprise," the source said.

Yet, her ex-boyfriend was nearby when Rivera and Dorsey married. Us Weekly reports Big Sean was in Punta Mita recording with Kanye West. Rivera is herself a huge fan of Kim Kardashian and Us Weekly has pointed out some similarities between their weddings. Rivera used hairstylist Clyde Haygood, who did Kardashian's hair.
