While shooting the final season for "Glee," actress Naya Rivera, who plays Santana on the wildly popular show, has found herself entrenched in an Instagram booty battle with media-hungry reality TV star Kim Kardashian.

While most of the world has already witnessed the infamous "Kim K" in her birthday suit from a past leaked sex tape (which essentially made her an overnight success) the Kardashian camp was ticked when Rivera made a negative comment about her recent Paper Magazine Winter 2014 cover.

The series of photos (Part 2 was released on Wednesday) reveal an oiled-up Kardashian, showing off not only her infamous derrière, but her entire body. There is also a more G-rated version with Kardashian in a sparkly, black dress where she is balancing a champagne glass on her famous behind -- way to keep it classy, Kim!

The controversy began on Tuesday, Nov. 11, when Rivera, who is an avid Instagram user herself, shared her disgust for Kardashian's photos, saying: "Normally I don't. But...you're someone's mother," she wrote on Instagram, which she reportedly later took down.

The "Glee" star was criticized by one of Kardashian's besties Jonathan Cheban, who took to Twitter to insult Rivera for being a Kim copycat. He even went as far as posting similar outfits of the two to compare the similarities.

"Naya has always been a step BEHIND! And this time she has seriously fallen a step BEHIND like Daylight Savings Time!" Cheban wrote.

Despite all the hype, Rivera and Kardashian were pretty low-key about it, yet Rivera attempted to redeem herself. On Thursday, Nov. 13, Rivera shared a picture of herself attempting to cover her mouth in mock regret, and gave the snap a short but accurate caption: "#instagramgotmeintrouble," according to Us Weekly.

In the redemption photo, Rivera is pictured next to Instagram's founder Kevin Systrom, who is "cuddling up to the actress with a grin."

While Kardashian may have won the booty battle for obvious reasons, as well the excessive output of self-indulgent selifes, Rivera's comment brought both beauties to the forefront of the tabloids -- for both sides, mission accomplished!

"Glee" Season 6, which also stars Naya Rivera, Dianna Agron, Matthew Morrison, Jane Lynch and Chord Overstreet, among others, will debut in early 2015.
